Drugs worth almost $1m seized in NSW
ABOUT 6500 designer drug tablets worth almost $1 million have been netted during a police raid on a business on the NSW mid-north coast.
Officers searched the business on Jindalee Road, Port Macquarie, about 2.30pm (AEST) on Thursday.
They allegedly located more than 6500 tablets and 15kg of powder containing the prohibited drug Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV).
A pill press machine was also seized.
Police say the drugs have an estimated street value of about $900,000.
Three men, aged 49, 45 and 23, were arrested at the scene.
The oldest man has been charged with manufacturing a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and possessing a tablet press.
The youngest man has also been charged with manufacturing a large commercial quantity, while the 49-year-old has been charged with taking part in the manufacture of a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited drug.
All three were refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Friday.
